to this alternative golf destination.
Marina de la Torre, 18 hole, par 72,
5,464 metres, championship course, designed by Ramon Espinosa, features
lakes and overlooks the sea. Facilities include Club House restaurant,
bar and golf shop, plus golf practice range and putting green.
Valle de Este, 18 hole, par 71, 5,696
metres, championship course, exquisitely designed by Jose Canales, to
bring the natural desert landscape into play,
Situated in Vera, 15 minutes drive from Marina de la Torre
Desert Springs Indiana, 18 hole, par
72, 6,173 metres, championship course, designed by Peter McEvoy, is
the only desert golf course in Europe. Situated in Cuevas de Almanzora,
it has been developed to the size and quality standards of the USGA.
Expect dry riverbeds, cactus and water springs to come into play.
Cortijo Grande, 9-hole course designed
by Paul Polanski with lemon and orange trees lining the fairways. Located
near Turre, only 45 minutes from Mojacar.
